Weigh-ins for the Open will be conducted ON SITE. Wrestlers will need to weigh in only once for the entire weekend—those who are participating in the Duals may use their certified weight from their team registration for the Open as well (Duals participants will NOT need to re-weigh on Saturday or Sunday for the Open). For those athletes wrestling exclusively in the Open, we will offer the option of day-before weigh-ins on Saturday at the competition facility. Wrestlers may enter the facility for purposes of weigh-ins between the hours of 3-6 p.m.; we are requesting a donation of $10 for those choosing this option to help support our Harvey's Hammer award. Otherwise, wrestlers may weigh-in before the event Sunday, from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Normal weigh-in procedures apply; wrestlers must present themselves in competition singlet or doublet, no shoes or socks or other gear (besides any required medical gear), and submit to a skin check at the same time. The tournament has a 3-pound allowance for each weight class (ex., 103 lbs. may weigh 106.0 lbs. or less). Wrestlers may opt (with parental permission) to wrestle up one weight class (but only one), but must remain within their age division. Cadets are an exception to this rule: high school-enrolled cadets may wrestle in both the Cadet and Junior age divisions (with parental permission), but must enter the tournament in each age division and will not be allowed additional time between matches as a result.
